Get HT a Laptop!
WHO ARE YOU
Hello lovelies, some of you may know me as HT, a pony/furry artist of the, um, more laviscious and unspeakable nature. Besides from spending my free time pretending to be a cartoon unicorn on the internet, I'm also a broke, eager, earnest girl in her early 20s tryin' to get by! And I'm going to cut to the chase -- I'm starting this GoFundMe to hopefully solicit the funds for a laptop computer.
WHY SHOULD I GIVE YOU MONEY
First and foremost! Please understand that I am asking, and only asking. Do not feel obligated, pressured, or anything. Don't worry about any of my art becoming exclusive. Please understand that I KNOW there are actual thousands of other, better, more deserving causes out there than getting a working class white chick consumer technology. If you feel adamant about that, then I 100% understand and I ENCOURAGE you to donate elsewhere, and to go forth and be happy, friend!
But to answer:
-Because, as it stands, my only computer (not counting Android devices) is my desktop, which is very old and readily becoming unreliable. Please don't let me misrepresent the direness of the situation! My desktop WORKS. It FUNCTIONS. I'm typing on it right now! I've produced art on it via Photoshop CS2 and SAI for 5+ years now! But it is showing its age. It has, like, less than a gig of RAM; it freezes occasionally; programs crash; streaming is impossible; you get it. One hard drive has already died and needed replacing! The computer was a gift from an awesome friend, but I got it for Christmas of maybe 2009, and she was very forthright about the reason that I was getting a free computer. Her parents got a new one, and they were just going to throw away their already-old one.
-THIS AFFECTS MY WORK OUTPUT!! Sometimes art programs are too laggy to produce art and I get frustrated. Sometimes programs crash mid-drawing! I LITERALLY CANNOT RUN AN ART PROGRAM, AND A MUSIC PLAYER, AT THE SAME TIME. Forget streaming, and being motivated by viewers and company!!
-So this will allow me to more reliably produce more art, quicker, and even stream art to viewers! I'll be able to offer stream commissions!! Commissions in general will probably be faster!
THAT'S A LOT
Yup, it's my HIGH END GOAL!! I plan on contributing myself to, you know, purchasing my laptop? But the absolute highest-priced model of laptop I'm eyeing is a Lenovo Yoga. Its touch screen is Wacom-pen compatible, so I can use it sort of like a DIGITAL PORTABLE SKETCHBOOK. (also I get discounts on Lenovo products through a student discount) If I get less, I get less! That's cool. This is just to help me out and help me afford it, eventually. Just remember THIS ISN'T KICKSTARTER! I get the funds no matter if I reach my target goal or not, so I think I'd rather aim high.

YOUR REWARD TIERS ARE LIKE WAY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN YOUR NORMAL COMMISSIONS
Well yeah. Unfortunately I'm only human (apparently), and it would be supremely deleterious to both of us if I were to offer more artwork than I could actually complete in a reasonable timeframe! Let me put it this way, even with the reward tiers set that high, I might still owe seventeen (!!) sketches at the end of this. Rather than offer limited slots for reward tiers and have it be a race, I figured I would restrict supply that way. They're also going to be my first ever STREAM SKETCHES!!, which I think adds in a value above that of a normal commission; a live viewing of the creation of your work and way, way faster turnaround.
