Dr. Xuewen Du Memorial Fund
Donation protected
This fundraiser is in remembrance of Dr. Xuewen Du and in support of his family.
Xuewen grew up in Laizhou, a rural area in Shangdong province, China. Being outstanding academically in high school, Xuewen entered KuangYaMing School at Nanjing University in 2006. Xuewen received PhD from Brandies University, and recently started as a postdoc at UCSF.
Besides his brilliance, Xuewen, like an open fireplace, is cheerful and warm. His optimism and positivity infected many of us, and his presence always lighted up the day.
Xuewen passed away suddenly on 26 Dec 2017 due to aortic aneurysm. He is survived by his wife, Jie Zhou, and his parents. We are raising money for Xuewen’s family to help them in this difficult time. Xuewen is the only child of his aging parents with chronic illnesses. I am calling on all of you to help and be as generous as you can. The donation will go directly to Xuwen’s family.
Although we have lost such an outstanding and warm-hearted young man, his smile will remain in our memory and his happy spirit will live on with us.
