Getting to this point...
With the 700$ that I had and two luggages, I hopped on my NYC to LA flight on October 1st to pursue opportunities in music and social entrepreneurship. Through a combination of focused networking and organic relationship building with friends, family and industry folk, I've been blessed with the following thus far:
- new, genuine & supportive friends who've been accommodating me w/ housing
- the opportunity to have interned for awesome ppl at SONY MUSIC - RCA Records
- the opportunity to meet my 'older-me' (Luti Fagbenle), interview for and be offered on the spot a 6 week unpaid apprenticeship (starting in January 2016) at Luti Media , his award-winning BAFTA-nominated music video, commercial and film production company.
I'm humbled, focused and extremely pumped!
Remember Drake's 'Hotline Bling' Video ... or the Clueless-themed video for Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy?' Kanye's 'The New Workout Plan,' Sean Paul's "Temperature," Rihanna's 'Pon De Replay,' Usher's 'YEAH' and 'You Don't Have To Call?'
Yeah... Director X - one of Luti Media's esteemed high end directors - directed all of those masterpieces. Who's behind directing the recent videos for Kendrick Lamar's 'These Walls' and 'King Kunta' and 'Alright?' That'll be another Luti Media high end director Colin Tilley.
Your financial contributions... will allow me to pursue this temporary (unpaid) position with strong full-time potential as a production coordinator at Luti Media and beyond. Alongside some of the music/TV-Film industry's most coveted music artists, film producers, directors and media entrepreneurs, I'll continue developing the relationships, experiences and skills (across filmmaking, directing and producing) needed to fortify my career in music, media entrepreneurship and youth development.
My Vision... as I wrote in a 10-page proposal to my University when creating my major in 'Consumer Behavior and Social Entrepreneurship' is to create a global youth media company that comprises a network of digital channels, TV-Film production studios, a magazine, a record label, branding and integrated communications firm, and a non profit dedicated to the creative and entrepreneurial pursuits of underrepresented youth.
My 3-Month Plan (December-February)...

12/1-12/15 - Ideal move in dates/Ideal dates to secure an apartment (and move out of my friend's)
12/15 - RCA Records Internship Ends; Roommate arrives to LA
12/25 - Yes, I'll be here in LA for Christmas
1/11 - First Day of 6-week Apprenticeship at Luti Media
2/22 - Last Day of 6-week Apprenticeship at Luti Media
March - Secure a full-time position
