Twelve Gardiner residents were displaced, many downtown businesses had to be shut down or were damaged and four historic downtown buildings were severely damaged during a large fire on Thursday evening.
This means that people and businesses in our community need YOUR help. They need to find a place to live, and they need help to start rebuilding their lives and careers. Please consider a donation to the fund that will help the displaced directly. Funds will be managed by United Way of Kennebec Valley and a City of Gardiner committee.
*All donations are tax deductible, as donations to the United Way of Kennebec Valley*
If you would like to donate via cash or check, you can drop it off or send it to the United Way office:
121 Commercial Street, Augusta, ME 04330
If you have questions, feel free to contact United Way of Kennebec Valley or the City of Gardiner.
