Dotty about Roy Rocket

Donation protected
No matter where we are in the world, those who follow or work in horse racing are one big family. Our stable will be supporting the excellent fundraising efforts of Pat Smullen for Cancer Trials Ireland through his ambassadorial role for Longines Irish Champions Weekend.

A week after Irish racing's big weekend, the stables of Newmarket open their doors for the Henry Cecil Open Weekend. Visitors to our yard can meet Roy Rocket and enter a competition to be his owners for a day when he returns to the racecourse next season.

All you have to do is to guess the number of spots on our Dalmatian, Gus. Sir Mark Prescott has agreed to be the independent judge and has now completed the official spot count.

If you are spot on in your guess – or the nearest to Sir Mark's official tally – you will win four owners' badges to the races on a day when Roy is running and will be welcome to spend a morning on the gallops with him at another time of your choosing.

We ask for a minimum of £10 per guess to support Pat's fundraising efforts towards important research in the ongoing battle against cancer. All money raised will go directly to Cancer Trials Ireland.

If you can come to the open day on 22 September 2019, we look forward to welcoming you to Beverley House Stables for Newmarket sausages from 9am. You can meet Roy Rocket and make a competition entry in person. If you are unable to attend, please donate via this page and email your guess for the number of spots on our very dotty Dalmatian to [email redacted].
