Jenson's Autistic Service Dog Fund

Donation protected
We are raising money to pay for a working dog (Razor) from Service Dogs Europe, for our 8 Year old son (Jenson) who has Aspergers Syndrome a form of Autism. Jenson’s Aspergers affects him in a number of ways, he excels at reading and maths in school, but he has no comprehension of his or other people’s emotions, he has to line up his cars when playing with them, he is very fidgety and cannot keep still, he will stand and twirl his arms, focuses on one subject and talks incessantly about it, he has very little to no imagination and when playing rein acts scenes from books he has read or films he has seen, he will watch a certain film over and over without getting bored, chews clothing as a form of relaxation, his Xbox is his release and would play on it all day every day if allowed (which he is not), and has to have certain routines when brushing his teeth and going to bed. Before we had Razor our day to day life was a continuous battle of being careful of what we said, did and planned regarding Jenson's day, whether we woke him up too early, gave him the wrong cutlery or crockery, or whether the rain was too heavy, the air was too cold, or he was walking and not going in the car to school, also when he got really frustrated he used to frequently take out his frustration on my wife and our youngest son by hitting, kicking or biting them. Now that we have razor even though he is only in the family bonding stage and will not have his full training until he is 12 months old, he has been invaluable in being a calming distraction for Jenson who looks forward to taking Razor for walks now regardless of weather conditions. Home life has also become a bit less stressful for both of us as parents. Myself (Jenson's Dad) I am not able to do as much as I would like with Jenson as I have severely damaged my back and am waiting for surgery to rectify the issue, so I do not get the chance to go out with our two boys and my wife to take Razor for walks, but I have noticed an increase in calmness with Jenson since the arrival of Razor and the whole family but mainly Jenson has bonded extremely well with Razor.
