OUR MISSION
Our mission is to inspire the next generation of tech thought leaders emerging from the borough of Brooklyn, New York. As a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization we are committed to developing the interests of students and professionals in the fields of technology by providing them with the resources needed to excel in the techno-centric society they live in today.
2014 TECH FLEX SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Our Tech Flex Scholars Program is a yearlong enrichment experience for rising juniors and seniors enrolled in a Brooklyn public high school. The program offers 20 scholars access to academic, professional and leadership opportunities by exposing them to the world of technology.
By participating in our program filled with presentations, workshops, company visitations and case studies, scholars learn about the endless opportunities for them in tech-related fields.
Throughout the year, scholars are paired with mentors who continue inspiring their interests in technology and participate in events that prepare them to pursue baccalaureate degrees in tech-related disciplines.
Scholars receive the following:
- Exposure to exciting topics and trends in technology
- Exclusive access to resources filtered through the Tech Flex program
- Support from mentors and Brooklyn On Tech staff
- Networking opportunities with industry thought leaders
