The Jeremie Project

Donation protected
Meet Jeremie. Named after the town he was abandoned in, this sweet little Haitian orphan was placed in an orphange when he was less than a year old. Jeremie is energetic, playful, inquisitive, caring, and totally lovable as I found from my very first trip to Haiti in 2013. Jeremie was either born deaf or lost his hearing within the first few months of his life and left to die on the side of the road because of his disability and his parents inability to provide for him. He poses a unique challenge as he lives in a country where deaf people are neither fully accepted nor generally successful. At age 5, he has no language acquisition or ability to communicate with those around him. We started The Jeremie Project with the desire to help Jeremie achieve a formal education and the ability to have a bright future. Most importantly, we started The Jeremie Project in order to completely and effectively communicate the Gospel to a child of God with a unique challenge.

Our hope is to bring Jeremie to the United States and enroll him in a deaf school that will provide him with an education every child is deserving of. We seek to be completely transparent in our process, as difficult as the process may become. Our goal is to raise the funds efficient enough for flights to and from Haiti, the cost of Jeremie's passport and visa, a kick-start on school tuition, and any immediate medical needs or expenses. Please join us in participating in The Jeremie Project as well as prayer for this sweet soul. We know that God has big plans for him, and we cannot wait to find out what they are.
