Help Cantrell Get Back to Work

In December of 2012, one driver's failure to yield to an emergency vehicle changed the lives of an entire family. (Local media coverage of the wreck. The dog is fine!) My husband Tony was dreadfully injured, and continues to try to recover so that he can return to the job he loves. The little girls don't remember a time when Daddy could play ball with them, nor even sit in a theater for two hours to watch a movie together. The older children have taken on responsibilities beyond their years - childcare and preparing meals and even helping with a remodeling project when we bought a mobile home in order to cut our expenses to try to make ends meet. I have been an at-home wife and mother since the wreck, because there are many days when Tony has to have help with basic tasks - everything from changing his IV when he developed a series of serious infections to bringing his meals and medicine to the bed, on those days he's in too much pain to walk or sit up at the dinner table. 

We've tried and tried to meet our financial obligations, but a series of unexpected expenses has left us too far behind. Now, the insurance company is denying dianostics and imaging to figure out exactly what's wrong with Tony's hip, and they've denied a recommended shoulder surgery. In order to move forward, and hopefully relieve Tony's pain and get him back to work, we will have to pay out of pocket for all of the co-pays and deductibles under our regular insurance. We simply don't have that kind of money.
