Danny Webster's 4th Cancer Battle
At 32 years old with a baby on the way, Danny Webster was recently diagnosed with Leukemia for the 2nd time in 3 years and last week he started his 4th battle with cancer since the age of 15. This GoFundMe is to provide financial support for both him and his expectant wife, Adele, who is 5 months pregnant.
As a contract electrician, Danny had been saving money for the new arrival by working overtime and weekends. However, due to the cancer’s heartbreaking return, he is now in hospital full time, rendering him unable to work and putting his family in significant financial distress.
Please take the time to read and share his miraculous story below and give whatever you can afford to help this brave young family stay afloat during this worrying and challenging time. The funds will be used to provide the essentials for the family until Danny is given the all clear again and can go back to working and providing for his family.
On behalf of the Webster’s, thank you for your support.

Danny's Miraculous Journey
In 1998 at age 15, Danny was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma – a cancer of the lymphatic system (immune system) – which was aggressively treated by a chemotherapy process that took him into remission in 1999. His relief was short-lived and only 6 months later he relapsed, meeting the dawn of the new millennium in a hospital bed fighting for his life and his future.
After undergoing high dosage chemo and a stem cell transplant, Danny finally attained full remission. Not willing to let this experience restrict or slow him down, he completed his apprenticeship to be an Electrician and went on to meet Adele, his future wife. After struggling to find work as an electrician in a recovering economy, he worked his way up from installing cable TV and internet to overseeing a large regional crew of installers.
Danny and Adele made plans to marry in spring 2013 however in January 2013, just 2 months before the wedding, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Postponing the wedding, Danny steadfastly battled through excruciatingly high dosage chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a full bone marrow transplant in time to marry the love of his life just one year later in February 2014.
Despite some lingering effects from the treatment – including severe graft vs host disease - Danny and Adele were determined to live a regular life, beginning with starting a family of their own. Due to the many radiation treatments causing infertility issues, it was necessary for the couple to go through painful IVF treatment to make this dream a reality. After several disappointments and large treatment bills, they announced in December 2015 that they had been given a wonderful Christmas gift: Baby Boy Webster – due to join the world in May 2016. Around the same time, Danny’s persistence and capability was paying off professionally and he finally found a position working as an electrician.
After hoping that the universe was starting to give back to someone who had already suffered and fought for so much, Danny learnt that the severe ‘flu’ he’d had over the 2015 Christmas period was actually a relapse of his leukaemia. He was rushed straight back to hospital on the 11th of January 2016, and the picture at the top is of him in the ICU on Monday January 17th.
Danny is currently undergoing trial and error chemotherapy as the doctors are unsure how much his body can cope with after already receiving so much of the treatment. Despite the odds and, with the resolve and positivity that has served as his lifeline for almost 2 decades, Danny remains determined to remain the undefeated champion and is now battling to watch his baby boy grow up.
Danny is the bravest person I know and as I’m sure you’ll agree, he deserves a break. If you can’t donate please share as far and wide as possible so that those with the means to do so, can.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read this. We are very grateful for your kindness and support.
Updates requested by GoFundMe:
This campaign was created by Trevor Cadieux, I am Danny's best friend since childhood. I am from Yorkshire but currently reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The funds will be spent by Danny's widow Adele and will serve to plug the gap left by the main bread winner of the family passing away (essentials, living costs, baby costs). Funds have been and will be sent from the campaign organisers UK bank account directly to Adele via bank transfer.
