It feels weird to ask for money for this stuff but if you need an explanation...
I have long-term mental health issues that, although mostly manageable, stop me from being able to hold down a job as I never know when they are going to flare up.
I'm a painter, so get some income that way but it's never usually enough and I struggle a lot. Luckily, I have friends that pay me to look after their dogs so I can at least always afford to eat.
I'm in debt (but who isn't) and just about manage to scrape by for bills etc but most months I'm not sure whether I'm going to be able to pay the rent or not. Thankfully, I live in one room so I can justify heating it in winter.
Mostly though, it's the random things, like veterinary treatment for Lily, my dog...or the fact that I need about three fillings, and to get a broken tooth fixed but I can't stretch to the cost, even though the dentist said she wouldn't charge me full price...or that I don't have a waterproof coat or shoes to walk the dogs in, and winter is coming...or that I have to go and set up an exhibition next week but the busfare is so expensive...Nothing very exciting or dramatic. But ongoing.
Anyway.
I wouldn't expect something for nothing, so if you want a fannish thing or a not so fannish thing, just ask and I will do my best, and then if you feel like donating something to the "Oh dear god, how is electricity so expensive?" fund, then this is a place to do that.
The reward level things are just to give you an idea. If there's something else you'd like just let me know...I'm an excellent hugger : ) x
