Geared UP! 2015 FTC Season

We are team Geared UP!, a group of middle and high schoolers with a passion for robotics. As part of Ashburn Robotics, and as and FLL Ambassador Team, we are an active part of our community and teach a number of robotics seminars, offer workshops, host our local FLL tournament and demo robotics at a variety of events, including the National Science and Engineering Expo and local STEM festivals.
Last year we decided to move up from FIRST Lego League (FLL) to the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and it's been great. We competed last year in both competitions simultaneously and went on to Worlds in FLL and States in FTC. It was an amazingly crazy-fun experience.
This year we want to better. Unfortunately, Geared UP! is a basement team, which means we don't have the built in support of a school or corporation. This is where you come in. With your generous support, we can buy the motors, controllors, metal and other supplies we need to make the biggest, badest most competition-worthy robot we can.
We are looking $7,000 to cover tournament fees, competition kits as well as the tools and raw materials needed to create an FTC robot. Thanks for your contribution.
