ND School Tuition

Donación protegida
Thank you for taking the time to view my Go Fund Me page! It has been a long academic road and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. In a year and a half I will be able to graduate the ND (Naturopathic Doctor) Doctoral program from the New Eden School of Natural Health and Herbal Studies' and graduate a Doctor of Naturopathy.

What is New Eden School of Natural Health and Herbal Studies? New Eden is accredited by both the American Council of Holistic Medicine and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and this curriculum exceeds the World Health Organization (WHO) standards for Naturopathy training. New Eden has school approval with the American Naturopathic Certification Board and is an approved training provider for the International Institute for Complementary Therapies. After graduating the student can apply for board certification with the following organizations: the American Council for Holistic Medicine (www.theachm.org) and the American Naturopathic Certification Board (ANCB-www.ancb.net). This program is one of the best, in-depth, traditional ND curriculum in America and abroad.

What is Naturopathy? A traditional, classical naturopath specializes in wellness. That is to say, teaching clients how applying natural lifestyle approaches can act to facilitate the body’s own natural healing and health building potential. The traditional naturopath does not undertake to "diagnose" or "treat diseases," but rather recognizes that the majority of sub-health conditions are cumulative lifestyle effects, and that the underlying cause of what we call "disease" is improper diet, unhealthy habits, and environmental factors which cause biological imbalances leading to a weakening of the bodies’ natural defenses and subsequent breakdown in health. Naturopathy concentrates on identifying destructive aspects of the lifestyle in the early phases, when lifestyle changes can occur to bring long-term benefit. Before symptoms manifest and long before a diagnosis can be rendered, these destructive aspects of our lifestyle can be identified and corrected. Once corrected, the body automatically begins to correct itself. Diagnosing disease and illness is totally unnecessary to correcting the underlying problems which result in disease and illness.

I believe that naturopathy is a necessary complement to traditional modern medicine. Holistic approaches to diseases and illness should be explored in conjunction with "modern" medicine. I would not be diagnosing patients, rather I would be promoting wellness of the body using herbal treatments and promoting the natural healing of the body. It may sound like hippie stuff, but it has worked for humanity for thousands of years before modern medicine arrived. What will I do after graduation? I have a few options: 1.) consult patients and eventually start my own naturopathic practice 2.) join an already established medical practice that would like to integrate naturopathic wellness for their patients and work in conjunction with a traditional MD or 3.) continue school for 4 years and attend medical school so I can practice the best of both worlds.

I am in need of $4,500 to pay the entirety of my tuition and have a little left over for my course books. I have paid for school myself up until this point and I already feel the strain of thousands of dollars in student loans. I do not want to take another loan out and put more strain on myself financially. The Peninsula is a very desirable place to live and it ultimately drives the cost of living up. Any amount will help!
