Randy's Medical Treatment

Donation protected

Randy is a 52 year old man who lives simply in a small one bedroom Telford apartment. For the last ten years Randy has worked at Lifepath, a non-profit organization dedicated to taking care of individuals with developmental disabilities. Despite the challenges that come with this job along with his ailing health Randy continues to give 100% of himself as well as unconditional love and care for the people he serves He, like a lot of us, lives paycheck to paycheck and that paycheck has covered his basic needs. He has not had to depend on anyone to help him until now.

On August 1 2014, Randy was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. Since then he has learned that the cancer has also spread to his esophagus and is affecting his lymph nodes. Randy will start Chemotherapy in the middle of August and has already started radiation treatments. Despite his sadness and some troubling symptoms Randy is currently attempting to work during these treatments but the doctors are unsure if he will be able to continue to do so. Without treatment the doctors estimate that his life expectancy is one year to a year and a half.

Due to Randy’s limited financial situation he has not been able to put aside any savings and he already has a large amount of medical expenses from his hospitalizations. These expenses will only continue to grow as he is unable to work. Currently, his co-workers are rallying around him to help with meals, transportation, cooking/cleaning, and paperwork.

We are asking your help in order to host a “Beef and Beer” for Randy and are looking for monetary donations to go towards the fundraiser as well as towards his medical expenses.
