Crescent School Weightroom Campaign

Students at Crescent School currently use 30 year old weightlifting equipment that has become lackluster and quite danagerous. With cracked weights, faulty machines, and rusty equipment, unfortunately the risk of a serious injury is a constant reality for Crescent students. However, if we can raise the remaining $5,000, we can help students at the K-12 Crescent School campus have a safer weight room facility.


My name is Tommy Farris, I currently lead the weightlifting program for Crescent High School's sports teams and am a Crescent alumni myself. After moving back into the Joyce area two years ago, I wanted to bring back the collegiate weight lifting experience I obtained as a University of Washington athlete and help Crescent student athletes learn the proper technique and methods of weightlifting training.


Starting last summer, we began the charge to fundraise for new weight lifting equipment for Crescent School. We've now raised $10,000, which puts us at the halfway mark to reach our goal of $20,000. Exciting news! A local organization has agreed to match the next $5,000 in our campaign. Thus, if we can raise $5,000 on this GoFund Me Campaign, we'll get an additional $5,000 from this organization and meet our goal!


Crescent School is located in the rural community of Joyce, WA with only 250 students in its K-12 School District. Student-athletes work extremely hard and deserve a safe weightlifting facility to help them achieve their goals and should not have to face such competitive disadvantages and risk of injury. Please help these hard working kids, loyal coaches, parents, and community volunteers bring this new, safer equipment to continue building a brighter future for students at Crescent School.
