DIY Desktop Computer

Donation protected
Hey all,

For a long while now I've wanted to build my own computer. Right now, I have a laptop from 2009 with five missing keys, a broken display fixed by a small external monitor, and a completely dead battery that causes my system to die if it gets unplugged.

I do a lot of work via my computer, including stage management, and have a lot of work I want to do, such as writing my novel, being able to do design and artwork without worrying about taxing my system, and I want to start a Let's Play channel on Youtube, as I think there are too few female gamers doing Let's Plays, and I would relish the experience, and I would also eventually be able to earn money doing it.

This project would help me do all of that, but it would also be a learning opportunity, as it would be my first DIY. I am unable to afford the cost of the computer I would need to build with three jobs as it is, and all of the activities listed above would help me earn more than I am now. I am struggling to pay for my bills, including student loans, car payments, food, and gas. There is a list of what all of the donations are going toward below, and if you would like a parts list, please comment or send me a message.

Components: $760.18
Shipping: $63.49
GoFundMe Fee: $65.06 (+11.27 for .30 per donation)

Any extra money that is not used for the fee, shipping, or components I will be donating to This Star Won't Go Out, a charity that helps out children with cancer and their families.( http://tswgo.org/)

I appreciate anything you can give to help out! And if you can't give anything for any reason, please share on various social networks. It really goes a long way! =)

My endless thanks,

Lisa
