On Monday morning, November 17th, Colter Endy was involved in a tragic head on collision while traveling to work in Great Falls. He was driving northbound on highway 89 outside of Raynesford, MT when he fell asleep, veered into the oncoming lane, and hit a truck head on. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Benefis hospital in Great Falls, treated for minor injuries and released later that morning. Colter was air flighted by helicopter to the same facility. Colter was driving his new Dodge Ram pickup and sustained multiple trauma to his body. Currently, he is suffering from a broken shoulder blade, hip, pelvis, right foot, and significant damage to his lower left leg. He underwent surgery in Great Falls to address the severity of his injuries. After discovering the critical nature of Colter's injuries and lengthy recovery time, his family made the decision to have Colter flown to Billings to be closer to home and under the care of an Orthopedic Traumatologist. He underwent his second surgery Wednesday morning to address wound care and a plan of action to save his left leg. Colter will likely undergo a third surgery, of many more surgeries on Friday the 21st of November.
The past three days have been filled with high emotion. Words cannot express our most sincere thanks for the amount of family and friends who have touched our lives throug this difficult time. We are grateful for every email, phone call, text message, etc. that we have received. It has warmed our hearts knowing Colter has so many people that love and care for him. The doctors are putting Colter's healing in his hands as his focus right now is rest and recovery. Many of you have asked how you can help in this process. Undoubtedly, over the next many months, Colter will incur a large amount of expenses, while also not having an income. We have established a contribution website here to help Colter financially through this process. We thank all of you for your love and support.
