Benefit for Andrew

My 23 year old son had pain in his left rib cage in March 2014, so he went to the ER and they found a mass on his ribs and sent him to Suny Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. After further tests, they found the mass to be a malignant tumor and identified it as Ewing Sarcoma. In May, he had four ribs removed that covered his heart and lung and told us he should be cancer free but he had a bacterial infection and they hooked him up to a wound vac. After a few weeks, he started complaining of back pains but the doctors thought it was due to the wound vac and his infection but they set him up for a " routine" appointment with an oncologist. In late July, he complained to me about numb legs and not being able to feel anything from the waist down and fell when he tried to stand up. I rushed him to the ER where they did an CT scan and found a mass in his left lung that is pushing on his spinal cord and many other smaller masses. They sent him back to Upstate Medical where he has been since. He has lost all mobility in his right leg and can only lift his left leg a little. He has had two weeks of radiation and still cannot walk. After his radiation he will need to go through chemotherapy and they say he may never walk again. His insurance does cover hospital stays and his medications but we have to pay for all copays (which he is on alot of meds), a ramp for our porch, a bariatric wheelchair and hospital bed, installing a bathroom downstairs, travel expenses to visit him and for all of his appointments after he comes home back and forth to Syracuse which is about an hour away from where we live. They say we need all of this before he can come home and we want him home where we can care for him ourselves and so he can be more comfortable. Any help we can get will be awesome and greatly appreciated.
