Aaron Ritz was recently diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) which causes your kidneys to enlarge and lose their function over time.  He will need a kidney transplant within the next 6 months at MUSC in Charleston. The family will be staying in Charleston for an extended period of time during this process. He is currently at Greenville Health System Children’s Hospital and receiving dialysis multiple times a week. He will have multiple extended hospital stays and surgeries along with the expense of his medications. He’s 11 years old and about to go into the 6th grade. He loves to play golf and was part of the First Tee Program. Aaron has kept good spirits and a smile on his face through everything so far!
