Chris McCormick's final goodbye!

Donation protected

We've just lost our stepfather Chris Mccormick July 29th, 2016. He went to sleep in his favorite chair and did not wake up. It was completely unexpected. He was only 55.
He is survived by his wife Tammy McCormick, 2 biological children, 3 stepchildren, 3 beautiful little granddaughters, and 1 amazing grandson, 2 great grandkids, as well as, his father, brother, stepmother, nieces and nephews.
Our wonderful mother Tammy Mccormick needs a lot of support and help, in many ways!
My mother met and dated Chris McCormick when they went to Harrison High School together here in Evansville, IN. They had not seen each other for years until running into one another one day, many years later, here in Evansville, In. Chris and Tammy found each other and spent almost 19 loving years together once reuniting again.
Recently, they both had been struggling A LOT with medical and financial issues as they were both currently out of work. Because of that they were in between insurance programs and had to use what was left of his retirement plan to pay bills and try to survive. Chris had hurt his back and was fired from his job after 12+ years, and Tammy was unexpectedly terminated from her job after 10+ years of service.
I love my mom DEARLY and she has always given everything she can to others, and never asks for anything in return. She's an amazing woman and it seems like she just can NEVER catch a break in life. She's an incredible woman who has lost her partner and best friend in life. With this I am trying to help her, in any way I can, to get through this extremely difficult time in her life.
The number one goal of this campaign is to have enough funds for a complete funeral to allow everyone that knew and loved him to come say goodbye to Chris.
As it is right now, there MAY be a small service for family only at the funeral home, and then the cremation, or sadly, just cremation. However, if we can raise enough funds, than it will be possible to have a full funeral, so everyone has a chance to congregate and say their goodbyes, and then host a ceremony/memorial service after cremation at another location for Chris. We would like to give everyone a chance to say goodbye to their friend, family member, and co-worker, but to do so we need to raise enough funds. That's why any and all contributions are greatly appreciated! More than you could imagine. We truly do want to give this great man a proper goodbye from all of us, but unfotunately we do not have the means to do so alone. This fund is also to try to give back to my mom, just a little of what she's done for so many others over the years. This will allow her to lay her husband to rest in a dignified and loving way and also the way he wanted to be.
Chris and my mom were great parents who were involved in everything we did growing up. They were band parents, baseball parents, theatre parents, softball parents, gymnastics parents, soccer parents, but now have household expenses, funeral expenses, and MANY outstanding medical bills that need to be paid without a way to do so. The weight of all this is extremely overwhelming and she is struggling to make something work with no incomce and in such a short amount of time.
Any help, in any way, is VERY much appreciated.
This was a sudden and tragic event that has her completely lost.
We are seeking help for her from anyone that can help. Which, is something she would have never done before. She has always been a strong and independent person who has not, and does not ask for anything from anyone.
I am doing this on her behalf to try to relieve some of the burden, and stress from her, and am trying to give her something back for everything she has done for so many of us over the years.

UPDATE: Thank you all for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. This fund is the best and easiest way we've found to help the family right now. We would like to give everyone and anyone who would like to say their goodbyes to Chris Mccormick the ability to do so. However, we cannot afford either option at the moment. So, please contribute if you can, and if not please share this if possible. Our mother Tammy Mccormick needs a lot of help with this, and is completely devastated by the sudden and unexpected loss.
Once again, thank you all so much for the kind words about this funny, crazy, and all around good guy!
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read a little bit about our loving Stepfather's passing, and about my Mother's current and future struggle.
Any help or contributions made are EXTREMELY appreciated, and will go to aid someone that has so much love in her heart, but has recently, and so quickly, been filled with overwhelming sadness.

UPDATE 2: We recieved the autopsy report today and it has been ruled that the cause of death was due to Cardiovascular Autonomic Neurothapy. Chris McCormick's heart was 3x the size of what it should have been and his liver was also slightly enlarged. The pathologist's explanation was that his heart rate, and/or blood pressure either increased or decreased suddenly and the heart could not fix the problem by it self, as it should, and he passed quickly and quietly.

UPDATE 3: Thank you all for the support you've shown our family so far. The viewing for Chris McCormick will be held at Alexander Funeral Home West off of Franklin St here in Evansville, In. Viewing for immediate family will be from 9am-11am and viewing for any friends that would like to say their goodbyes will be from 11am-1pm. Again, thank you all so much for the love and support you've shown our family over the last few days!

Thank you all for the donations, shares, thoughts, and prayers during this trying time. Once all final arrangements have been made, we will update his fund page one last time to include all details for those of you that would like to say your goodbyes one last time.
