Celebrate U

Celebrate U Long Island was founded in 2018 by Sylvia Ades and Elijah Ross.
 
Founded in 2014, the Celebrate U Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to spread happiness by throwing birthday parties for underprivileged children, living in underserved communities. Supported by child and teen volunteers, in collaboration with social service agencies and schools, Celebrate U organizes, hosts and leads group birthday parties for those children. The effect of these celebrations goes way beyond cake and party favors. Celebrate U believes that by showing children that their community truly cares about them we can raise self-esteem, provide hope for a brighter future and empower children. For thousands of underprivileged kids, the greatest birthday wish of all is not a toy or a bike or a puppy. It’s simply having the chance to celebrate a birthday at all. Yet far too often, that modest wish is nothing more than a pipe dream. Celebrate U is dedicated to making those dreams a reality. Celebrate U has serviced over 1000 children and has over 250 volunteers to date.

All funds donated will go towards operating costs, training, craft supplies and goodie bags.
