Cedalias Vet Bills
Donation protected
May 30th 2015, Cedalia came home home bleeding. She barely wanted to move, and seemed to be in a lot of pain. We took her to the emergency vet, and they found that a spiked pellet had gone through her chest cavity, and lodged itself into her shoulder muscle. From an Airgun used by the more serious shooter. This is not a young kid. Pellets are single shot and often a co2 powered pistol. Pellets cost much more than BB’s, and load one at a time, where BB’s load very rapid. This changes EVERYTHING. This person is much more invested in this wepon. He truly meant to kill my cat. Pellets deliver much more impact at the point of contact, rather than a BB. Like a hollow point compared to a regular bullet. She was on oxygen for 24 hours, and several IV's. We are extremely lucky that the bullet missed all of her vital chest organs, however there is extensive internal bruising and her recovery time is estimated at 3 weeks to a month. Tonight on June 1st, she is coming home. But we are leaving with large bills. Anything you could donate, we would be entirely grateful.
