We are proud to announce that our own International recording artist Kyjuan and Murphy Lee of The St. Lunatics are starting a program to help lead our youth. The primary focus will be on adolescent peer to peer interactions, emphasizing the importance of split second decisions that can change lives forever.

Their intent is to demonstrate both positive and negative outcomes of choices faced by our youth daily. Some of the topics addressed will include work ethic, career awareness, violence, drugs, gambling, respect, and STDs.

Kyjuan and Murphy Lee will create short films with students as the primary actors and production team assistants. They will collaborate with the students to create highly focused and directly relevant Public Service Announcements (PSAs) that address decision making in adolescents. . The students will add authentic dialog, context, and youthful reasoning to the projects.

The films will be shared throughout the St. Louis area with other students. The intent is to show the consequences of right and wrong, but also how to look below the surface at situations. Participants will also learn that not only those in front of the camera are in the film business. Students will be introduced to cameras, lighting, sound, directing, writing, editing, wardrobe and other aspects of creating a film.
