Chris Macahon's Fight

Donation protected

Chris Macahon is our son and a courageous young man . On January 8th of this year, Chris was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. We can tell you he has displayed a strong, beautiful spirit and positive attitude during this surreal journey. Chris was attending Mesa Community Junior College, in Mesa Arizona, to play baseball. His goal is to play Division 1 baseball . During high school, Chris was a two sport athlete; he also played basketball and was the team Captain of both teams. In Chris’ last year of high school , he was named male athlete of the year at Palatine High School. This young man was at the University of Chicago Medical Center for 15 nights, not knowing what was wrong with his body and when he would ever feel good again. He never complained about being poked and prodded. After a three hour surgery he received the diagnosis of Cancer, but he knew he would beat this horrific disease. He never felt sorry for himself; he just focused on healing up, getting better and continuing on with his life.

Chris will be receiving 12 treatments of Chemo and then he will have 5-6 weeks of radiation 5 days a week.Chris’s plan is to return to school and continue to pursue his dream of becoming a Division 1 baseball player.
He is an inspiration to us and hopefully to other people who have to battle this dreadful disease..

Thank you for your support.
