Save the Cats of Mahalla

**I recently returned from a trip to Egypt and I couldn't believe how the cats there were suffering. My friend and I vowed to do whatever we could to change as many of their lives as possilbe! This message is from my friend in Mahalla.**
Every day in El Mahalla El Kubra, Egypt there is a crisis occurring right outside my door. The homeless cats and kittens of Mahalla are suffering terribly. They scrounge through the trash for food, get run over by cars, breed constantly, and spread disease. For a cat lover like me, this is heartbreaking to witness. But it gets worse.
Several local businesses have these cats hunted down and exterminated because they see them as nothing more than rats. Worst of all, many of the female cats that are killed, have kittens that are left behind. These kittens then either starve to death, or are killed by the homeless dogs.
My goal is to raise a fund to save as many of these cats as possible. My companions and I will do this by taking them to my vetanarian and having them spayed/neutered and vaccinated. When they are healthy I can work on finding them homes. Each cat I save is a cat that won't have to suffer.
