HELLO EVERYONE! it's Casey!!
A little bit of an update, I just finished my first round of MIBG treatment in Louisiana! No results yet, I am expected to do the treatment 3 times in all, so 2 more times! I have got 12 days of radiation and 6 rounds of chemotherapy before trying this treatment, I also got my main tumor REMOVED from my belly this summer, leaving the lesions on my spine left to deal with! Things are going very well for me! I'm feeling great, although I'm still in my neck brace things have truly been looking up for me! I am very BLESSED with the great support system I have, thanks to all of you guys!! I recently made a Facebook Page that you can get on and "Like" for more frequent updates on me and what I'm doing, and how I'm doing! Thank you all for the unconditional LOVE and SUPPORT you have all given me! It means more to me then you can imagine!! Check Out my page at

Casey has a follow up interview with Brandi Petersen tonight (Sunday) at 5! Everyone watch, it will update everyone on how her surgery went and how she is doing now! The surgeon will also be on talking about her surgery! KETV News Watch 7!
CASEY GETS TO COME HOME TODAY!!!!! Yay! This is a picture of how surgery went! She is so strong and such a fighter! Keep in mind her incision goes all the way up her stomach, this is only half of it! #caseyscure #teamcasey
Casey got out of surgery last night around 8:30 pm. The doctor said everything went well. They had to take out an adrenal gland. They are now worried about her kidneys because she was not going to the bathroom as much during surgery as she should have. But the tumor is out after a long 9 hour surgery!
Casey goes into surgery today at 11:00am. We will update once she is out, the surgeon said surgery can last anywhere from 2.5 hours to 5.5 hours. Keep the prayers coming everyone, we need them today!!!
Lets keep this fighter, fighting!!!
Hello everyone, sorry we haven't updated in a while. Unfortunately Casey's chemo treatments haven't been working and her tumor is growing. On the brighter side the doctors think they can successfully remove the tumor, we have surgery set for next Thursday and Casey is very excited to get it out! She as always is still in very high spirits, and very great full for all of your donations, kind words and wishes, and everyone's prayers! She wouldn't be this strong without everyone supporting her! So a big thank you to everyone who is on her side helping her say positive! We appreciate everything so much!
We don't have much to update everyone on besides that Casey is managing her treatments very well! She will be on her 6th round of chemo and still has a of her hair! She is eating good and maintaining an appetite! She is doing exactly what she needs to be doing during this process, she is taking everything so well and handling it like a champ! We are so blessed she is still the same energetic, full of life girl that she has always been! Thank you to everyone still donating, we are more appreciative than ever! Thank you!!!!
So sorry its taken so long for an update. Casey is doing pretty good! She had her first round of chemo Monday and Tuesday of this week, and her first radiation on Wednesday. All in all she is handling everything very well! Nothing will bring her down, she's one of the strongest people we know! Everyones prayers and support is truly appreciated! The photo is right after she had chemo, she had bags of ice on her head, because she read an article that said youre less likley to lose your hair!
Casey, her Mother Jan and Aunt Jean came home from Bethesda Maryland on Friday. After a long week and numerous tests the Doctors have yet again devastating news for the family. Casey's rare condition is hereditary. The Doctors in Omaha are now working with Doctors from Maryland to form a treatment regimen for Casey. We will keep you all updated once treatment begins. Again.... please keep Casey and her family in your thoughts and prayers, they need all of our support!
"WE ARE TEAM CASEY"
Wishing we had an update for everyone, we are waiting to hear the plan from the doctors, today hopefully. Until we know please keep Casey in your prayers! Every little thing counts, we love all the support we are getting. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!
Hey everyone, This is Courtney, Caseys sister, I just wanted to update you all on Casey because she wont be able to for a while. Casey and our mom Jan just left today for Bethesda, Maryland. Casey will be getting consultations done by her new doctor, Dr. Pacak. He reached out to help us after Caseys news interview on KETV channel 7. We are so thankful he got ahold of us, and its all thanks to you guys who are supporting us. We cant begin to tell you, how much it means to us. This is the beginning of a very long journey for us, every little thing counts. Thank you all so much for sharing all of your time to read our updates, your donations, and all of you positive feedback, and advice!
As you can see, we have raised our goal. With all of the support we have been getting from everyone, we are determined to find a CURE! Every single donation is going to be used for Caseys treatments, and for finding our cure! Your donations helped put us in contact with a doctor that will be able to research more about Malignant Pheochromocytoma, and hopefully be able to help anyone else who gets diagnosed with the same cancer as Casey. My family can not thank you all enough. Everyones support and kind words make things so much easier, for all of us! Thank you so much everyone, we really appreciate everything! #CaseysCure #TeamCasey
WOW my family and I are speechless. All of this support is so amazing I can't even tell you all how much this means to us. You guys are so inspiring and because of all you donating and giving us amazing information, we ARE going to beat this! We can't say thank you enough to everyone.

Hey everyone, we don't have much to update you on today yet. Casey goes in for an MRI this morning and we will be able to get a better look on just how advanced and fast moving this tumor is. We LOVE LOVE LOVE everyones support and prayers. I can't tell you all, how much our family appreciates everything that everyone is doing for us during these hard times. Thank you thank you!
Hello everyone! My name is Courtney Charf I am from Omaha, Nebraska. On February 23rd 2013, my 18 year old sister Casey Charf got into a very bad car accident. Thanking God that she was still alive, we came to find out after she got a CT scan, she has a very large tumor. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with Malignant Pheochromocytoma, a very rare and unusual cancer. Since her specific cancer is so rare, no doctors in Nebraska have ever seen a case of it, or treated it so we are going to have to find specialists out of town. We are asking everyone for donations if you can to help our family pay for some of the medical bills that are headed our way. We have a long road ahead of us, but with faith, God, and support WE WILL BEAT THIS! Thank you to everyone who donates and supports her, it is appreciated more than anyone could imagine!
For I know the plans I have for you. Declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope, and a future." Jer 29:11
