Carl Ellis Needs Our Help!!!!

Donation protected
Carl is a husband and father of 4 beautiful daughters and will be unable to provide financial support for his family for the next 9 to 12 months.  Carl is a selfless man who puts the needs of others before his own.  He has served as a volunteer firefighter, works with Habitat for Humanity and 8 Days of Hope.  This selfless servant needs our help. Please donate what you can to help Carl Ellis in this, his time of need.

Yesterday, November 22, 2014 my brother-in-law, Carl Ellis, while doing what he loves most, helping others, had a tragic accident while volunteering on a roofing job in Nashua, NH. The scaffolding that he was suspended from collapsed. Carl fell 25 feet to the ground below. Carl, still conscious, was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital, stabilized, and then airlifted by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Carl broke both of his legs. Last night he underwent 5 hours of surgery to begin the long healing process. The surgeon placed temporary metal support rods in Carl’s damaged legs to help reduce swelling, inflammation and prepare the bone fragments that remained to be ready to support 2 or 3 more reconstructive surgeries in the upcoming months.
We, as a family, are grateful that he has shown no signs of spinal cord or brain injury. We rejoice that “he only broke his legs”. For those of you that know and love Carl, I witnessed an incredible act of courage and bravery on his part last night. Carl basically was unable to tolerate pain medication because it caused him to stop breathing. He endured hours and hours of excruciating pain. Several times the pain was so intense that he vomited over and over. It was heartbreaking, yet he barely complained.
As you all know, Carl has a servant’s heart. He has shared his God given talents with many people over the last several years. Carl has traveled hundreds of miles through the U.S and to other countries to assist total strangers in their time of need. Carl has been a shining example of what the true meaning of giving is all about. Carl has impressed upon his daughters the meaning of sacrifice and helping others. We have been told that the recovery period may be as long as 9 months if not longer (we believe a quicker healing time will take place, can I get an AMEN)? With that said, this means he will be out of work and unable to provide for his family for several months. Carl was just taking over a new business venture and does not have medical insurance. While we know that the Lord will provide, we have no idea what he may need as time goes on. As a family we will pull together to get Carl, Amber and the girls through this trying time.

Thank you for thinking of Carl and giving what you can, Heather
