HELP KEEP CARINA SPEEDWAY ALIVE!!

Carina Speedway Bundaberg Please help Carina Speedway Bundaberg keep the gates open!

17th June 1966 saw the long held dream of Alex and Jackie Walker come to reality with the first race meeting held at their newly constructed Carina Speedway.
Almost 40 years later, due to insurance and other reasons, the gates shut in 2006, for what most thought would be forever.

Then in 2015, a small family business put everything on the line to bring back this historic venue with the help of the Bundaberg Speedway Sedan Club and the Walker Family, September 2015 would see Carina Speedway reopen to the sound of 20 sprintcars and over 80 other competitors.

Since then we have held 2 bike meetings, a Monster Truck Show, Bike and Car Practice days and 12 main speedway meetings including multiple State Titles such as Speedcars, Late Models, Compact Speedcars and the last meeting of our season, the Qld Modified Sedan Title.
The season has featured over 900 competitors, around 21,000 people through the gate, over 100 volunteers from multiple organizations, 7700 Facebook likes with an average reach of 40,000 individual users, it is a great marketing opportunity as our sponsors have been featured in 1200 television commercials, 3300 Radio commercials and a vast array of print and online marketing.

The cost of rebuilding the venue, and doing it on a very tight budget was hard enough, but with limited sponsorship, average crowd numbers and 5 nights affected by rain, the first season has been very hard and has taken its toll financially, without increased sponsorship or investment, Carina Speedway is likely to close the gates, 50 years after its inception, we cant lose this iconic venue again.

How can you help?
Every dollar through the gate goes into keeping Carina Speedway alive, constant track upgrades and maintanance, high level race meetings and associated expenses are a lot higher than the revenue through the gate this season, we need more help from sponsors, investors, and the fans to make sure Carina Speedway survives for another season, if the action on track is anything like the last season, we are in for a great year ahead.

We are not asking for help with no return, there are multiple levels of sponsorship available to suit any budget, just remember, every cent helps!

We will run this campaign until the 30th June 2016, if we dont recieve enough interest, all money will be refunded and will take whatever neccesary steps to try and assist someone else to take over Carina Speedway and keep the venue open,  we hope we are with you and Carina Speedway next season.
