Star Trek Captain's Chair Replica

The USS Independence - the Sacramento, CA meeting chapter of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. - is planning to build a replica of the Captain's Chair from the Star Trek: The Next Generation movies!  It will be displayed at our events and be used to help raise funds for chair-ity (get it?)  Fans will be able to sit and take pictures in the chair.  If all works out, we plan to build a second to be auctioned off for chair-ity (get it now? :P)  This is a big endeavor and we need your help!This will be custom built by our own crew members with measurements provided from the actual chair used in the films.  The funds will go toward materials, tools, and upholstery work.
