Giving Lagniappe Back to Bob Roberts
If you are part of the arcade collecting community then you know who Bob Roberts is. He is a man who has provided parts, wisdom and has shared his lifetime of experience with the arcade community.
As most members of the community know by now (it is posted on his website) Bob was recently involved in a rather serious bicycle accident resulting in injury to several parts of his body . This is unfortunate because all he was trying to do was get some exercise per his doctor's orders (for his heart condition).
Many members of the community (especially the KLOV community) have been wondering what, if anything, we can do to give back to Bob in consideration for everything he has given to us. An idea of a three-wheeled bicycle was raised - and this campaign is intended to fund exactly that.
The Goal: Raise $350 for the Real Bob Roberts to get a three-wheeled bicycle (or an indoor bicycle if he and Alice so determine!) Since it is important to be properly fitted out on a bicycle the intent is to pay the funds from this campaign (should it be successful) directly to Bob Roberts (or most likely Alice!) These funds will be provided along with a card of "Thanks" to Bob - and members of the community are welcome to leave their messages on the GoFundMe page or to provide them on a thread on the KLOV Forum (the messages will be printed and provided to him). Based on internet research we believe that this should be a sufficient sum for a decent three-wheeled bicycle.
