Pat Dailey, a 30-year Sheriff's office veteran, was killed on duty 2/10/16.  Pat was assigned to court services and is a former U.S. Marine.  He was the first to arrive at Panera Bread, in Abingdon, and the suspect shot him in the head.  Although another deputy started medical aid, Pat succumbed to his injuries. 

Pat is survived by his girlfriend, mother and two sons.
