Tony's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
If you know Tony, you know life. He is the epitome of living life to the fullest, no matter what the circumstances. He is always the "glass is half full" kind of guy. Whatever he sets his mind to...he achieves but never forgets about the people around him who support and love him. He would literally give the shirt off his back if he saw a need, even if it meant he would suffer for it.
In 2014 after a hard and challenging year as a General Contractor in Pompano Beach, Florida Tony and family decided to take a vacation to Puerto Rico. That's where we noticed that Tony was not himself. He was reserved, quiet, kept to himself but when needed he would always take time to help with the chores and travel. Little did we know he was in constant pain, yet he went on as if nothing was the matter.
In April of 2015, after continuous pain Tony was diagnosed with Double Hit Lymphoma. A type of cancer that is aggressive and attacks the lymph glands with two different strains. This has only been discovered in the last 5 years by cancer specialists. Much of the treatment although positive with many success stories, is still in it's infancy and in medical trials. Tony has endured 5 chemo therapy treatments so far, each requiring a 4 to 5 day hospital stay.
Tony is in need of a 3 month course of bone marrow transplant, during which he cannot work or leave his home, as the danger of contracting a virus or air borne disease would be detrimental to his health because during the bone marrow transplant his immune system would be virtually non existent.
We ask that you find it in your hearts to help get Tony back on his feet and into the game of life, he so much enjoys with his wife, 2 daughters, son and 3 grand-children.
Thank you
