What I am looking to do
I'm looking to restore the Big Fatty App for iPhone and Android, as well as make my app creating services available to others.
Why? Because I have lots of time to fill and thought this would be a good, productive way to do that and bring some fun and maybe some help to our little community.
Why the GoFundMe?
I am providing all the work for free and it will be a considerable amount of time and hard work, there are charges to be paid and some hardware requirements before I can offer the app to everyone, While I have the time, I don't have the spare cash to pay those fees, etc.
Thats where you people come in, we share it all and we all benefit. Seems fair to me, yes?
What is the money needed for?
I need £69 ($99) for the Apple fees and £16 ($25) for the Android fees. However I also need some current Android hardware to test the app on, I cannot just test it on the emulator as I have experience of apps failing when they hit real life hardware, so at least one test device is needed, that would cost me £129 ($207), its not the cheapest, nor is it the most expensive, its the cheapest device I could find that offered the features and minimum quality needed to let me do the tests. I'm not going mad and splashing out.
That comes to a total of £200 ($300) (ish, I picked a nice round amount, i'll pay the extra and shipping as my contribution)
Closing words
If 15 people can spare $20, thats us at the total, so I hope you can help out.
