Brett and Ruth Clark Medical Fund

As you may and/or may not know, Brett Clark's wife Ruth has been going through some real health issues in the past few months. She has been in and out of the hospital battling with Crohn's Disease.

This week, she had an emergency surgery after doctors discovered a hole in her colon.  The good news is that she is stable and that doctors think that the surgery has an 80 percent chance of curing her Crohn's Disease.  The bad news is that she will be in and out of the hospital for additional procedures and for recovery time for the next 4-6 months.

Brett mentioned that his out of pocket deductible for his insurance is $3,000.  He also mentioned that he could really use the help to pay for babysitters for his three sons, house cleaners to help both him and Ruth keep their house clean while they are working through the next few months, or takeout food so that no one has to worry about cooking for awhile.

Those are simple things that I think we could all chip in for -- and I know it would ease his mind knowing that those kinds of things were handled.
