BOOST Local Business Everywhere!

For fifteen years, my career has defined my life. Sad, but true. I've given every bit of myself to "the man," sacrificing relationships, friendships, quality family time and frankly, compromising my own values and beliefs on many occasions for development of my career. I can't and won't do that anymore (and you shouldn't either by the way!).

Taking this leap of faith has proven to be a major turning point in my life, and while frightening, I'm quickly learning life is what you make it.  This is my shot to make it what I want -- to BE who I want -- and to make sure I take the time to stop and smell the roses (cliche, I know).

I have many passions in life. Music. My dog, Charlie. Any body of water you can float a boat on. The Denver Broncos. And for the last fifteen years, doing something powerful in the community. Add in experience and a love for local business and marketing, and Chris Kelly Media & Innovation has arrived.

I'm seeking to build a sustainable company capable of big ideas for small businesses, in my town and yours. Boost Locals is our "opening act."  And I need your help!

I'm seeking to raise at least $16,850 (and hopefully more!) for the Boost Locals concept of Chris Kelly Media & Innovation. The money will be used for legal setup fees, materials, marketing, development and mostly, the licensing and purchase of the proprietary software and infrastructure of the Boost Locals concept, which is currently being fully developed with the help of some very smart and innovative people.

On the surface, the Boost Locals concept is tailor made to help small business compete big.  Every major US company with a ground level consumer has deployed a loyalty and rewards program in the last several years, dating back to the first "airline miles" programs decades ago.  Now this trend has grown to include every branch of major American retail categories -- electronics, groceries, clothing, fast food, etc. and the list could go for days.  The small business owner is at a serious disadvantage, because these major chains have a stranglehold on customer loyalty based on their size and ability to reward repeat business.  Boost Locals is designed for the little guys to unite and be able to infinitely multiply their target customer base by providing the resources to keep the cost down and drive customer loyalty up, reaching hundreds of times more potential customers than just their own.  Finally, small local business has the opportunity to compete big.

Okay, so today you probably hold dozens of rewards cards for various national chains.  Electronics, drug stores, grocery stores, clothing, other retail, etc.  Imagine being able to hold ONE rewards and loyalty card for dozens, then hopefully hundreds of locally owned businesses in your town!  The statistics are staggering.  In Europe, this concept has arrived. In Germany specifically, this concept has flourished over the years with an estimated 59% of German households holding the card of their biggest program which is used at thousands of different retailers.

The Boost Locals concept is/will be customized for each market it is launched in (with already eight markets committed and growing fast!).  We are not seeking to build a massive national network.  We are looking to build independent large LOCAL networks, enabling your favorite coffee shop, bakery, pizzeria, electronics store or hardware store to compete with the big boys who have moved into their neighborhood!  Boost Locals and Chris Kelly Media & Innovation are about local business, not being a big corporate model, and helping to educate people on why local business is important to each community in the US.  As such, each Boost Locals business will operate independently of each other, customized for the needs of the community it operates in.

So in a nutshell, you as a consumer will have one rewards card, where you will be able to earn and spend points at each business in your Boost(insert your city) network, encouraging and rewarding you for spending your money locally.  You, as a Boost Locals business owner, would own and run your own Boost Locals program in your town and help the local businesses build the network, with focus only on your own community and the best way to run the program for the businesses there.  How many businesses are in the network in your town is up to you.  How much they each spend to be part of it and what services you provide... also up to you.  We will give you the brand (customized for your town) and our proprietary infrastructure (also customized for your town) to be as successful as you want to be.

It does on some levels, yes.  But not entirely like this.  There are, in fact, a TON of "buy local" campaigns all across the US. And there are, in fact, a handful of loyalty and rewards programs, similar to this, in a handful of cities across America. My research has been exhaustive, on all of them I can find, and while so many of them have the "why" down - they just haven't gotten the "HOW" yet.  This is what makes Boost Locals so cool, and so proprietary.  At the core, Boost Locals is about helping the business owner, using our program and systems as marketing tools, and helping to build their customer base and loyalty among it. By the way, in our case, the businesses pay for our services and marketing tools, the rewards program itself is FREE for the consumer.  A huge competitive difference with most of the others I've found.

For a $20 investment, you can go to sleep tonight feeling like you helped someone chase their dreams. Maybe deciding to chase mine, and helping me, will help YOU decide to chase your own!  And if so, let me know the day you decide to launch your own crowdfunding site, because I surely will contribute to your cause as you did to mine!

We'll give you and/or your business a plug on the Boost Locals site in YOUR town (assuming Boost Locals exists there, if not, I'll give it to you on the Boost Locals main site).  A one time pop of $500 will also guarantee your business a place in the Boost Locals founding member category, and our rewards program will be free to you for your first year!

This is where it gets good.  You are, in fact, starting your own business, for just $1,000.  There's already eight of us in eight different markets in the US (specific cities in Colorado, Texas and Arizona, which are obviously unavailable). I'd like you to be the ninth, tenth, thirtieth or whatever market we're on by the time you're reading this!  I can't give you ALL of the details right here, because there are a lot of proprietary things that we'll have to chat about either in person or on the phone first. But for your $1,000 investment you will own the licensing, software and proprietary infrastructure of Boost Locals, which has taken some serious research and connections to develop.  I will help train you, your partners and any employees you hire (if you want to hire employees, your call). I will build your website, help you facilitate purchasing the materials you need (but you won't have to spend any more money until you've made some!), and be available to you for help, guidance and anything else you need along the way.  If you're thinking it, let me answer you clearly right now - This is not some crazy multi-level marketing scheme.  You are launching and owning your own business that I will help you customize in your own market, in addition to giving you the licensing, technology and infrastructure to help Boost local businesses in your town.  There's no affiliate programs, multi-level schemes or anything crazy like that. We will legally set up your own company, that you are the controlling majority shareholder/manager of, and I invest in.  So in effect, you invest in me, I will then invest in you. For that reason, I reserve the right not to award you a Boost Locals business, even if you have the $1,000.  What if you're crazy or don't know the first thing about business?  I wouldn't want to partner with and invest in you, right?  This isn't some kind of "once I have your money, I don't care about you" thing.  We are in this together. We will need to have a chat first so we're comfortable with each other. Qualified investors will have a passion for local business, an entrepreneurial spirit, be a creative thinker and preferably have a marketing and/or media background like me! That said, being a dedicated shopaholic with passion for retail and good relationships around town is probably a better qualification, so that's good too!
