Help Us Become A Non-Profit
It was the tail-end of summer when four kids, who all shared the same deep-rooted passion, came together for one thing: wild cats. In the beginning, we didn’t know much, but we began digging into articles, studies--any information we could get our hands on. We soaked it all up as if we were sponges, and debated each topic with one another. But most of all, we grew and learned together.
In our minds, there was never a shred of doubt about what we would do with our lives. It was unanimous amongst us; we truly believed that we were put on this earth to save wild cats, and we were prepared to dedicate everything to that cause.
And so, we put this passion and devotion to good use. We formed a blog under the name of Big Cat Network, where we actively called out and debated cruelty facing wild cats. We made it our mission to spread awareness and right the wrongs that these animals face.
While online work is very, very important, there is a much longer road ahead of us. We’ve realized this recently, and set our eyes on the next ambitious goal of becoming a non-profit.
Over two thirds of the wild cat species are endangered. Even the iconic tiger is critically endangered with only 3,200 individuals or less remaining in the wild. These cats desperately need our help, and their time is running out.
As a non-profit, we will be able to spread our message much further and grow as an organization. We will be able to work towards securing a future for wild cats around the globe.
Our goal is to become a nonprofit by September of 2015, and get the proper funding to start up this organization. The sooner we can get up and running, the sooner we can help wild cats.
