My husband and I got married on May 16th, 2014. (The photo we've used for this campaign is from our wedding.) Roughly seven months later, his father was diagnosed with Stage IV lymphoma. (His father, of course, is the man on the right in the photo.)
Right now we are in a very delicate situation financially, but we don't know how much time my father-in-law has left and it would mean the world for us to spend a week or two with my husband's family this summer.
The problem is that his family lives about an 15-hour drive away from us. We're struggling right now--I just graduated college and he's about to go back to college, and though we're both working full time we've also got a lot of dental expenses and other debts and we don't know if we'll be able to make a trip to see them. And that's where your help comes in.
I've set a goal of $1,000--that should cover the trip there and back, as well as the work we'll miss while we're gone (assuming about a week-long trip) so we can still pay the bills. It's really important to us, and especially to him, to see his father in the next couple of months, just to make sure that he can spend more time with him. Every bit of time with family is precious, especially in this situation. Your support would be so much appreciated.
