BEAR needs life saving surgery asap
Bear my 3 year old husky/favorite thing in the world has been in and out of the vets for the past 2 weeks with numerous symptoms that really could mean a number of things.
They have now told us that it is a foreign body that has been shifting around his body (chest to stomach area) causing infections and litres of fluid to form in his lung and stomach area. The fluid is is turning septic and needs to constantly be drained as it's compressing his chest, making it hard to breathe and is also inflaming his other organs.
They have told us today that he will need to have open surgery, blood transfusions and many other thing's performed on him in order to find this foreign body and save his life. When they find it and get it out, all other symptoms will stop and hopefully I will get my best buddy back.
So far the testing, scanning, hospital stays, monitoring and draining has cost over $10,000 AUD, the surgery will be $20,000+ then add the costs of recovery, 24hr monitoring etc and even more testing and scans after surgery (it could very well go even higher).
Please, any amount that you can give would be appreciated more than you could ever imagine. This guy is one of the very few things in this world that makes life bearable (pun intended).
