Donation protected

This is the GoFundMe Page for John Ashley. John is a loving husband and father to two children, Josh and Megan.

Johnny has always been a kind, generous person. He loves attending Bristol Pirates ballgames, attending Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church and spending time with his family.
John always puts everyone else's needs in front of his own. He is the best of everything that he is the best husband , father, son, brother and uncle and friend anyone could ask for.

This summer of 2014 John was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma after he inquired about a suspicious mole on his leg.  John had surgery which removed the mole and surrounding tissue that was later biopsied as cancerous. After a follow-up visit and MRI, it was discovered that the cancer was present in several places throughout, except for his brain. John then travelled to Atlanta, Georgia to undergo a complete evaluation at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. The doctors there agreed that John start treatment on July 16th. During treatment, he will not be able to work and support his family while incurring medical bills for frequent doctor visits and chemotherapy. ANY support you can provide will be greatly appreciated!
Update:
For the last 2 1/2 years John had continued to work full time pushing on and not letting the side effects keep him from supporting his family. However this past December John was layed off from his job of 23 years and January of this year he went back for his 3 month Scans and the brain MRI showed that the cancer has spread to multiple places in his brain and to his lungs obviously the oral chemo taffinlar and mekinist which he had taken the last 2 years is no longer working he had to undergo whole brain radiation and begin immunotherapy  (opdivo and yervoy ) these drugs are very costly he was told he would remain on these every 3 weeks he has had 2 of the infusions, and having CT scans and brain MRIs every 3 months. He had been having pain in his shoulder for the past year and he continued to work not letting this pain stop him from providing for his family  he will be returning to Atlanta Monday for 8 days to undergo radiation to his shoulder and collar bone to where the cancer has also spread. This had been a very scary and costly journey for him any help you could afford him would be greatly appreciated.
