Addie's VF Internship in DC!

Hello there!
My name is Addie, your friendly neighborhood trans* genderqueer feminist and activist, and I have wonderful news: I was recently offered a political intern position with the Victory Fund in Washington, D.C.! It's an amazing opportunity to work for an organization that endorses queer and trans* candidates for office across the nation.
With the help of many friends and supporters, I was able to cover the cost of my round-trip flight to DC!! I am so grateful and appreciative of all the help, and without those vital contributions I wouldn't be here!
But now I need your help (again)! I'm just $200 away from reach my overall goal, and that last little bit will help me cover metro costs and hostel expenses. It would mean the world to me to continue working at this fantastic organization and focus on the tasks at hand without the stress of a financial burden.
VF believes that these individuals will create change for our community through visibility and motivation for equality:
"The Victory Fund is changing the face and voice of politics by identifying, training and electing LGBT leaders to all levels of office, in every corner of America. We do our work through endorsing candidates that have proven viability and providing those candidates with technical and financial resources to assist them in running to most effective campaign possible."
My role as the political intern is to assist the political team at VF with endorsed candidates, including tasks such as tracking the progress of campaigns, preparing reviews, and conducting research.
I am beyond excited to have started this internship, and I cannot wait to continue exploring Washington, D.C. for the first time ever! However, travel and living expenses in D.C. are really expensive, and can become super distracting from this once in a lifetime opportunity.
I am asking you today for a donation of any amount to help fund my travel and living expenses while in D.C. so that I can make a difference on a national scale. With your help, I can make a difference politically and help create more representation for our community - the queer and trans* community - in office!
