GB Paralympic rowing prosthetic
Donation protected
I become a below knee amputee 2nd of February2017 , my choice alongside several health professionals.
After a life long disability of club foot / Talipes and multiple corrections , I found myself not wearing two shoes for at least 18 months , crippling pain and I'd lost my career,
My disability taken over my life !
This is a new start for not only me but my family also.
I'm here as I can't sleep ! But to kindly ask if anyone would help the cost of a rowing specific prosthetic as the NHS are reluctant to provide me with one , I'm also participating in off shore rowing and now fine boat and a waterproof Prosthetic is a MUST , rowing has been a life long goal and at the age of 31 I've bit the bullet I'm going on that podium ! I have a challenge in 2020 which I can't wait for and that challenge being Tokyo Paralympics for Rowing with Team GB, I was talent ID’d and I’m working towards the development programme which will kick in once I have my limb. I’ve many goals and that's to live long and function and be as pain free as possible.
Being a potential Olympian is crazy but hugely exciting.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind generosity .
