Garden of Abundance
We are a group of permaculture teachers and students sharing a passion for transforming the Earth into a place of health, harmony, and happiness.
Permaculture is a branch of ecological engineering that develops sustainable architecture, regenerative and self-maintained habitat and agricultural systems modeled from natural ecosystems.
We do this by using the most natural organic materials, recycling and up-cycling to produce no waste, and putting our hearts and souls into this purpose. For us it isn't about the money, it's about community and health. Although we must work together to invest in what costs money to get us up and running.
The vision we collectively hold is to create a world where everyone shares resources and all basic needs are provided for in the most conscious way. The food and medicines provided by plants should not be something we go to the store for. Our mission is to provide the space for plants and people to be nurtured to optimal health. Our purpose is to educate and cultivate a way of life that reflects and mimics the divine order gifted to us by nature.
We are dedicated to making the vision a reality, devoting our time and personal resources to bringing this community center into full swing. The final vision includes transforming the large warehouse on sight into a farmers market which will make our local produce from the GOA available to the public. Also the warehouse doubles as an education center where workshops will be taught so community members can take the knowledge into their own homes and properties, creating a co-operative between many families as to support one another and reduce our dependency on outside resources. In addition, the food grown on our land will eventually be the main supply of our farm to table restaurant, serving organic, gourmet local cuisine to the public.
