Living Expenses for Medical Leave

Hello Everyone,
As most of you know my mom, Connie Robertson, recently had four surgeries performed on her leg. This past winter she went to see a doctor because she was experiencing a great deal of pain in her leg. They did some tests and said she had water on the muscle. Apparently it was nothing serious. After several months passed, her pain increased. One day she hurt so terribly that she took herself to the ER. After more tests the doctors decided that she had a blockage in the veins in her leg and an operation was needed. It seemed like a fairly routine procedure that was supposed put her back on her feet in a day or two. Surgeons put in stents to free the blockage and improve blood flow. However, about 3 days later, she was in excruciating pain and had to call 911. An ambulance took her to Swedish Edmonds. Doctors there determined that a blood clot had formed and she needed to be transported back to Swedish Cherry Hill for more surgery. Two surgeries later, blood flow had decreased and bypass surgery was necessary. The final surgery left her with a lengthy incision from her groin to her calf that required several staples to close.
She is now in recovery and starting to feel better, using a walker and eventually a cane to help her get around. However, she is required to take a leave of absence from work for and least 8 weeks, probably more. She has suffered financial hardship over the past few years, and just when things were looking up, she ends up having to miss a great deal of work. As a bartender she does not receive sick pay or any benefits. Fortunately, her medical expenses will be covered but she will not receive any funds to cover living expenses.
Any kind of donation toward her living expenses will be greatly appreciated. There will also be a benefit for her at The Little Red Hen on July 13th, from 3-7pm, hosted by Charmaine Eichenberger.
