Get On Board 4 Autism Sk8 Fund

Get on Board is a program teaching skateboarding to children with special needs.

Our focus is simple, give all children an activity that undeniably improves, gross motor skills, balance and self esteem in a safe and non-competitive environment. Most importantly, give the child a chance to engage in  this activity have FUN!

Lessons are run by competent, experienced and well trained instructors who are implementing a methodology developed by Ray Young with the backing of a teaching degree and 25 plus years of teaching skateboarding at numerous skate camps, parks and private lessons.

The program has achieved a very high level of success and community involvement, we have seen children grow and succeed in ways that we could have never imagined. From non-verbal children to higher functioning children, all are progressing.

It is now time to expand to meet our demand. Money raised through this fundraiser will go towards buying equipment like:
Insurance
Transportation to events
Skateboards
Pads
Helmets
Portable Ramps
any additional funds are used for adminstrative costs of running this program.
No individual Get On Board associate will profit from donations, all funds go towards the furtherment and betterment of the Get On Board program.

This program is run FREE to the participants. We wish to keep it that way, therefore the need for this fundraiser.
