Augusta Fire Relief Fund

Tax deductible
Twenty-seven Augusta residents are now homeless, due to an early morning fire in an 18-unit apartment building at 36 Northern Avenue. Fire and rescue teams from Augusta, Togus, Gardiner, Winthrop, Chelsea and Vassalboro, as well as law enforcement were on the scene promptly and assisted all residents in successfully escaping the 3-alarm fire, which left the building a total loss.

This means that 27 people in our community need YOUR help. They need to find a place to live, and they need help to start rebuilding their lives. Please consider a donation to the fund that will help the displaced directly. Funds will be managed by United Way of Kennebec Valley and a committee which includes The American Red Cross of Maine.

If you have questions, feel free to contact United Way of Kennebec Valley.
