Hi Everyone,
My name is Ethel and I am the only child to my mother. I have kidney failure and also a mother to a lovely six year old daughter. In 2006, I was diagnosed with a rare genetic kidney disease called POLYCYSTIC KIDNEY which has gradually progress to end stage renal failure. This disease causes multiple cyst to grow and enlarges the kidneys to loose it's function. I constantly feel tired and I do not make urine anymore as others. Presently, I am on peritoneal dialysis for 10 hours every night, this therapy can only sustain me for a short period (temporal treatment). Eventhough, I am going through all these, I still manage to keep a smiling face and never forgets or fails to thank the nurses, doctors and everyone who have been so supportive and loving. As any young woman, I do have my dreams and aspirations in life but now I feel limited and grounded because of my ill-health. Currently, I have been listed on the transplant list at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia and Georgetown University Hospital in Washington. We were adviced by the transplant cordinators to raise funds for post medical expenses and for anti-rejection medications, which are too expensive and my insurance will not cover all, so the rest of the bills has to be paid out of pocket. Please, support me with your generous donations to give me a second chance to live life again like others and to fulfill my dreams of raising my beautiful daughter. Please, do not hesitate to share this link and spread the word to all your friends, coworkers, families and to your communities. An effort made for the happiness of others lifts us above ourselves.
