Ygnacio Valley High School Marching and Jazz Bands have a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in several parades and performances in New Orleans during Mardi Gras 2015.  Many of our students have never been out of a 15 mile radius of our school much less on a plane. 

Our school music program faces a dire lack of funding, which is compounded at Ygnacio Valley High School by students' and their families' low socioeconomic status, which prevents families from affording the trip for the students.  We are actively trying to fund raise $50,000 for the trip, with the students responsible for fundraising $30,000.
