Help UK Veteran study in Colorado

Andy Barnard came to Colorado on the 6th of January 2015 to fulfil a promise he made to a friend and US Soldier he met in Afghanistan in 2008. 

Sgt Isaac Palomarez served in the US army and by chance met Andy who was serving with the British Army and the two became quick friends. Isaac's passion was hockey and his home town team, the Colorado Avalanche.

 The two made a pact that after Afghan.  The pact was that Andy would travel to Colorado to see his first Avs game with Isaac.  To seal the deal, Isaac gave Andy his beloved Joe Sakic Jersey on the condition Andy would come and see a game.  Sadly this never came to fruition as Isaac was killed one month later in an IED attack. However, Isaac had left a lasting impression on Andy and hockey is now the biggest influence in his life and he has also become a die hard Avalanche fan. 

 Isaac gave Andy the thing that he now holds most dear to him, his passion for hockey and the Avalanche.  During Andy's journey he fell in love with Colorado and its people.   He's now actively seeking the means to live and study here in Colorado as he feels that he is more at home here than anywhere else in the world. 

We are now trying to raise money to help Andy pay for college in Colorado as an International student.  In order to enroll,  he needs to show that he has $25,000 in a bank account.  This should cover some of the cost of fulltime education for four years and help Andy with his dream to become an American. 

Andy's story has touched the hearts of thousands that have read or seen Andy's emotional journey.  Thank you to all that have helped make Andy's experience so memorable and now lets bring Andy home, to Colorado!
