Help Amelia Carter Kick Cancer!
Donation protected
The Carter family woke up on Friday, January 22, 2016 thinking 6-year old Amelia had somehow injured her shoulder or collarbone during the night.
A trip to the ER was expected to be a quick visit with a simple diagnosis. As the hours at the hospital passed, it became clear that a simple diagnosis was not in the cards.
The likely cause of the pain/swelling? Ewing Sarcoma. An extremely rare bone cancer found primarily in children and adolescents.
Amelia has begun aggresive cancer treatment at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
Amelia, her parents Christine (nee Horsch) & Jason (both originally from Sayreville, NJ), and her younger brother Owen are facing a frightening, overwhelming, and unthinkable challenge.
We are looking to help the family raise funds to cover the endless expenses - medical, travel (there will be countless trips between their Howell, NJ home and CHOP in Philadelphia), and etc. - that will come up in the immediate future and beyond. This will hopefully leave the Carters with one less thing to worry about.
Please consider helping the Carters - whether you can give $5, $50, or $500... it will all add up and make a HUGE difference to this wonderful family and their beautiful little girl.
And whether you can help financially or not, please share this post and help us get the word out!
(This page has been set up by Jim Aleski & Karen Miller of Robbinsville, NJ. We have been close friends with the Carters for well over 20 years. These funds will be spent on travel costs, medical bills, any needed medical equipment, etc. They will be withdrawn and controlled by the Carter family directly - Karen & I have no access to the funds.)
