we, the Aly Aleigha Band, aim to offer something
completely transformative and unlike
ANYTHING
you've ever heard before.
Okay, that might have been a bit dramatic. But it's true! We are the Aly Aleigha Band, and we're excited to offer you the opportunity to partake in something that transcends above and beyond the norm.
Last May (2015) I recorded my first EP ("extended play"--4 songs) which started this whirlwind of musical opportunity. I moved to Duluth, MN after graduating college and met some really awesome and ridiculously talented people who would eventually become my band.
We started as a ragtag group of musical friends playing together at a local music festival (see video above) and other small gigs. Sooner than we thought possible, we were invited to play at huge events like Abbey Fest (see promo video below) and started the process of recording a full-length album!

Our new record, "The Labyrinth," has multiple layers of meaning in each song. It is inspired by the story of the Fall in Genesis as well as personal life experiences, entering the desert and learning to find the light in every struggle. I believe that there is a real need for Christianity to penetrate the culture seamlessly, and our aim with this album is to offer music that fits into the secular music industry as well as providing an entirely different sound to the Christian music scene.
I believe in this project so much that I’ve already contributed loads of my own money towards it, but I’ve exceeded my budget and now I’m reaching out to family, friends and fans to help support us. We still have to cover the cost of mixing, album artwork, videography, printing CDs vinyl and cassettes, publicity, publishing, etc, plus studio time.
This isn’t one of those “donate-lots-of-money-and-maybe-if-we-reach-our-goal-you’ll-get-something-back” sort of things. We've been in the studio recording already, and our goal is to have it finished and ready for purchase by September 3. This means by donating you are guaranteed some awesome perks. That’s why it’s worth investing in, and here’s what you get if you do:

How your money will be used:
The band and I are convicted in the need to be good stewards of the gifts we receive--both the talents and opportunities we have been given as well as monetary gifts and all the support we receive from wonderful people like you.
Because of this, we want to be clear your investments will go straight to the project you are so generously supporting. For example, you can rest assured knowing we won't take all your money and run to Qdoba kicking our heels in glee (I mean, we might do that, but not with your money, I promise).
Every cent we generate here will go straight to the following:
>> Covering the cost of studio time
>> Paying our producer for the mixing and mastering of
each song
>> Paying for Album Artwork, videography,
>> Pressing Vinyl, CDs and (possibly) cassettes
>> And, finally, publicity & publishing of the band & the
new record
How soon we need the funds:
As I said before, we have set a date for our Album Release: September 3. Our goal is to raise enough money to cover the cost of the project by then, though we will continue to accept donatons beyond that if we do not meet our goal by then. Either way, you will receive the perks we promise you by mid-September.
If this is a project you believe in, we are incredibly grateful for your support. Any amount, no matter how small, is worth so much to us and truly does add up. Even if you can only give $10, that's $10 we didn't have before. Just think! If 100 people give $10, that's a total of $1,000!
There's so much that goes into cutting an album--a lot more than people think. This project is already surpassing all my wildest dreams, and it is only the beginning!
